Cytisus battandieri

Pineapple Broom, filling the air with its magnificent pineapple scent! This is an original Johnston plant, brought back by him from Morocco.

P.S. a gentle nudge in the direction of BBC4 this evening for the Hidcote documentary.

Hi Bertie, this is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could watch that documentary. Do you think it would be available, via the internet? (I'm assuming that's your BBC TV as opposed to the radio?)

Sorry, I just realized you gave the link. I'll figure it out!

What ho, Bertie! Beautiful specimen. Does it have a very strong scent? Are they very hardy where you are? I'll find a way to catch the documentary. Are you prominently featured?

Michael the scent is quite strong but particularly so in the evening! This chap seems to be very hardy, having survived here for so long. It also tolerates some pretty harsh pruning!
