Can we have a photo of the "pleached hornbeams" please Are they easier to do than limes?

C. 'Rubra' is a real gem and one on the list to propagate! Janet certainly I will have a closer look at the Stilt Garden! I think Lime grows faster but with the Stilts as my reference point, pleached Hornbeam looks much better than any pleached Limes I have seen. Hornbeam has a far finer leaf which is more suitable for the neat formal shapes of this technique. Although I must say I am very keen on Lime allowed to grow as a tree!
The steps and gazebo are so wonderful. For me, those are the kinds of things that just make gardens so interesting!
This area is one of my favorites! I love all the pots going down the steps this year. The chocolate cosmos with the canna lilies is a very felicitous combination too.
