Aquilegia chrysantha ‘Yellow Queen’

Seen flowering in Mrs. Winthrop's Garden, just off the Long Walk.
Back to the old grindstone today, the excitement of college all done with for now! Worryingly, in only four weeks time we return to sit our RHS exams. Panic stations!

How lovely! I have never tried these, but I really think I should. Are the yellow buds shown below more of the aquilagia (if I spelled that right) or are they poppies?

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. I got it by email, but it didn't show up on the blog comments for some unknown reason. You have to type the anti-spam word (like for your blog), but you must be doing that!

Anyway, thanks for the comment, I did get it.

What ho, Diane! Those yellow buds are poppies. Damn nuisance these disappearing blog comments! Will try some computer jiggery-pokery and see if I can get the thing to remain after posting.

blogspot had some problems, perhaps it has resolved itself in the meantime?
