Bright tulip... any name for it?

Tulip looks like Ballerina. Last time I saw the hot border at Hidcote it was roped off - are the public allowed along the border these days?

Julie that Tulip is definitely Ballerina!

Martin the Red Border and Old Garden lawns have been closed off intermittently over the past year or so as last spring we had new lawns laid in both areas. It’s been an awkward balance between giving the grass the time it needs to establish and giving visitors the full experience of both borders. Both are planted and maintained for visitors to enjoy up close from the grass, so it’s been quite frustrating having to rope them off like some sort of museum piece! I’m still away at college but the week I left we were opening both lawns in rotation, hopefully this year we’ll see them both open the majority of the time!
