Tomorrow morning I am heading south, as next week I'm completing a placement at Great Dixter in East Sussex. There is no mention whatsoever of interweb connection on the b&b website, so I will definitely not be updating the old blog in this time! In the interim, here are some early morning images of the gazebos. Cheerio!

Gorgeous pictures! What a lovely place! Kind of reminds me of the places in classic English books. The first time I heard of gazebos was when I lived in New York and saw a movie with Glenn Ford called The Gazebo...such a funny movie! Have a nice weekend!
The colour of brick buildings are so warm in the sun and the last photo has caught the light beautifully. I hope we'll get some photos and posts from Great Dixter. It's on my list of places to visit.
Hope you have a wonderful learning experience. It is one of my favorite gardens, though I have not yet stood beside its long boarder or squeezed through the topiary. sigh.
Say hello to Fergus for me.
Enjoy the placement, have fun, learn lots, and see you when you get back.

Have fun Bertie, look forward to hearing all about it on your return!
Take the laptop, maybe this time the wifi will be taken for granted?
Dear Bertie, Have a wonderful time and please come back to blogland soon. P.

Dear Bertie,
I have found the elusive "Luckiest Man on Earth". You! Gadding about Hidcote AND Great Dixter for a living is one I can only aspire to. Have a great time and I look forward to news of your stay at GD.
Michael
Best of luck at GD, I'm sure it will be a very different experience from Hidcote but just as instructive.
You have the most beautiful images on your blog...but I really love this post
I've only just found your blog, but I've really enjoyed reading it...and what a wonderful job you've got! :)
Back in one piece, feeling inspired and with many pages of notebook covered in new plant names! A great team and a great garden, I would strongly encourage one and all to visit there!
Bertie
