Fritillaria meleagris

Snakeshead Fritillary, the only species of Fritillaria to grow native in England. An absolutely incredible plant, seen flowering in East Court!

I am trilled to find your new blog on Hidcote! I am just finishing my way through Fred Whitsey's book, savoring every bite and will add it to my list of must-see when I make the jump over the pond someday.

Looking forward to reading more of the daily workings that you encounter.

Thanks!
Julie
